The Living Room (TLR), was a mobile vintage shop created by Ashley Hogrebe and co-piloted by Elizabeth Engle. The pair spent over three months traveling the entire West Coast, from Bellingham to San Diego. They partnered with various vintage shops and flea markets throughout their trip— curating a welcoming storefront with an ode to repurposing and second chances.

Engle photographed the trip and interviewed people met along the way. Later publishing her documentations in a zine titled, "The Road Provides".

"I would tell younger me to take bigger risks and really actually believe in my own voice. I grew up seeing danger in uncertainty and for years doubted my own inner guide. It took a lot for me to trust my creative and independent spirit, to trust my path, to publish a novel and start my own business. But by jumping in, I'm finding that the unknown is where happiness has been hiding all along."

"My father was a welder, my grandfather was a welder, and all my uncles were welders. I've been welding since I was seven years old. My son was learning to become a welder too when he died. He was 19...

It doesn't matter what happened yesterday, or ten years ago. All I know is that I'm alive today, and I'm the happiest I've been because of that."

"My grandfather first took me to this beach thirty five years ago, that's when I started collecting glass. The two of us have been best friends for almost forty years now. We've gone through marriages, kids, and even divorces together. We both live in separate states but we always find a way to come together once a year."
